Jalango Speaks After Winning ODM Party Ticket
Langata MP Aspirant on ODM party ticket Phelix ‘Jalang’o’ Odiwuor has spoken after he was given the certificate.
Jalango thanked the people and party for believing in his leadership.
“It is with great honor and humility that I Phelix ‘Jalang’o’ Odiwuor accept the will of thousands of Langata constituency voters that I fly the ODM flag in the Member of National Assembly race in the forthcoming election. Thank you, for believing in my ‘Utu na Watu’ campaign,” said Jalango.
He says by voting for him shows their trust for him with great power comes great responsibility.
“Overwhelmingly voting me as the ODM Langata constituency flagbearer is a clear show of your trust in me. Now, they say with great power comes great responsibility. The power is still with you the people of Langata, and the responsibility will be to vote me as your Member of Parliament on 9th August 2022. I want to take this opportunity to thank my family and friends for their immense support and for standing with me through and through,” he added.
Jalango is a renowned Kenyan comedian.
“To my campaign secretariat; the Jalango’ nerve centre, you have done a brilliant job at positioning me for this race. I say, ahsante sana!My sincere thank you to the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) and its National Elections Board (NEB) for holding a free and fair nomination exercise ; a one of its kind regionally,” he added.
He called on his competitors to work with him for the betterment of Langata Constituency.
“We must now walk this walk together in a show of unity in diversity to bring home an ODM win in August. The battIe ahead is tough but we in ODM are built to endure and to last, I thus welcome you all to ‘Team Jalang’o’ because ‘Utu na Watu’ dictates that we leave no one behind. As leaders with massive following in our beloved Langata, your input to my bid will be invaluable,” he said.
