UASIN GISHU COUNTY COMMANDER DECLARES WAR ON ILLICIT BREW
With many illicit brew drinking dens, Uasin Gishu county commander Mr Ali Gitonga Ali, has assured locals that, he together with other law enforcers will fight this menace once and for all.
“In this county of ours Uasin Gishu, there are plenty of illicit brewing dens and we the police, together with other law enforcers have tried to fight and end this vice.” Said the county commander.
Mr Ali noted that there are many places prone to the business within the county and this indicates that the numbers of users are many as well.
“There are places that have gone over board and this has been a problem to the citizens and us as well. Sections of Huruma, Kapsoya and even Kamkunji have a lot of dens. Every time we raid these places, we confiscate huge amounts of illicit brew and this only shows that they are many consumers in these places.” Noted mr Ayub Gitonga.
The commander pledge to fight this menace to the end and he urged the public not to fear reporting these dens and people engaging in this illegal businesses so that they can face the law.
“My advice is that we will not relent until we find those people engaging in this business even if they go into hiding and when we do, we’ll take them to court so that justice can be served. We also urge the public to report and aide with any information that will lead to the capture of this people and my office is open to information.” Remarked County Commander.
