Shauri Residents Urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to Help them Get Title Deeds
A section of residents from Shauri, Huruma Ward Uasin Gishu County now want president Uhuru Kenyatta to help them get title deeds.
Speaking to the press thye said despite them buying the pieces of land they haven’t been given title deeds.
“As residents of Shauri we are calling on President Uhuru Kenyatta in the remaining 40 or so days to help us acquire this crucial document before his term elapses, we have suffered since we cannot put any development on our plots,” Harun Wainaina.
Over 900 plots don’t have title deeds in Shauri, Huruma Ward and thye are living in fear far since their plots might be grabbed since they don’t have title deeds.
“Before president Uhuru Kenyatta leaves office I urge him to consider us people of Uasin Gishu to get title deeds so that we can get loans from banks to help us in our businesses,” Gitonga wa Munyi said.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday kicked off the latest phase of the national title deeds issuance program that will see the immediate issuance of one million title deeds to land owners across the country.
“The program should be executed expeditiously such that before sunset on the Eighth of July, 2022 the balance of the 1 million title deeds will have been conveyed to their holders,” President Kenyatta directed.

“We have taken our files to the registry in vain we have tried all other avenues but it has not born fruits.
“ We humbly ask president Uhuru Kenyatta as he finishes his term to give us title this is only give us after supporting and voting overwhelmingly, we want to do business without any problem,” he said.
Other Estates with the issue of title deeds include Munyaks, Langas, Mwenderi among others.
