MORE THAN 56 HOUSEHOLDS BENEFIT FROM IPALI WATER PROJECT FIRST PHASE CONNECTION
Residents of Ipali area, West Bunyore ward in Emuhaya Sub County could not hide their joy today after Vihiga Governor Hon. Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo offically launched the Ipali water project.
Addressing locals after commissioning the project, Dr. Ottichilo said more than 56 homes have been connected with tap water in the project’s first phase.
“Access to clean and safe water is one of my government’s priorities.
Our aim is to ensure that each and every home in Vihiga is connected with tap water to ease the burden of travelling long distances to fetch water from rivers,” Said the Governor.
The County Boss also took the opportunity to highlight development projects his administration had undertaken in the area, drumming up support for his second term bid.
According to Department of Environment, Water, Energy and Natural Resources Acting CECM Geoffrey Vukaya, the project will go a long way in saving costs for residents who had faced challenges in accessing water for quite some time.

The project is powered by solar panels to save on electricity costs.
