Elgeyo Marakwet CPSB Board Member Sworn In
Newly recruited County Public Service Board (CPSB) Member Dorcas Kimwetich was today sworn into office.
Ms Kimwetich also took oath of office in a ceremony presided over by Iten Senior Principal Magistrate Charles Kutwa.
Kimwetich was recently approved by the County Assembly to serve as CPSB Member after she was recruited by a six member selection panel constituted by H.E Governor Alex Tolgos.
County Secretary Paul Chemmuttut represented the Governor during the swearing in ceremony held at the Governor’s boardroom.
Ms Kimwetich pledged to uphold diligence in the discharge of her duties.
“I promise to give it my best and go the extra mile to make a difference in the County,” she said.
Chemmuttut called upon her to work impartially and accord equal opportunity to those seeking services at CPSB.
“You must take into account that we have the dorminant Keiyo and Marakwet communities as well as the minority communities like the Sengwer. We must serve all of them equally,” he said.
Magistrate Kutwa asked Ms Kimwetich to uphold the rule of law and serve without fear or favour.
Present during the function were Ms Kimwetich family and friends as well as other County Officials.
