POLICE OFFICERS HONOURED WITH CHANDARIA BRAVERY AWARDS
Earlier today at the National Police Service headquarters, 20 officers drawn from the Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service and Directorate of Criminal Investigations were recognized for their bravery and exemplary execution of duties in various extraordinary circumstances in their areas of work.
The Inspector-General NPS Mr. Hilary Mutyambai MGH, nsc (AU) graced the event accompanied by Mr. Noor Gabow, EBS, OGW, Deputy Inspector General- APS. The Deputy Inspector General – KPS Mr. Edward Mbugua, CBS, OGW, ndc (K) was represented by Ms. Miriam Muli, S/AIG and Principal Assistant to the DIG among other senior officers. Dr. Manu Chandaria, OBE, CBS, EBS was represented by Mr. Artur from the Manu Chandaria Foundation.
Mr. Mutyambai lauded the Manu Chandaria Foundation for their recognition of outstanding Police officers through Chandaria Bravery Awards and their continued support having held this event for over 30 years. He added that National Police Service is proud to work with the foundation in the betterment of service delivery.
The Inspector-General also commended the officers for their dedication and courage. In his message, the DIG – APS appreciated Dr. Manu Chandaria for the recognition, noting that the awards are an inspiration to and a motivation to the officers to put more effort in the execution of their duties.
