A family in Langas Calls For Assistance After Their Daughter Was Diagnosed With Cervical Cancer
A family in Langas is calling for assistance after their daughter Jane Wairimu Ngugi was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
According to her mother Anne Ngugi, a housewife the condition was diagnosed in December last year when she was admitted to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
“She stayed at the facility for over a month where she was discharged but after going back home the condition worsened and we took her here to Racecourse Hospital Eldoret where she is currently admitted for over a month where she is currently undergoing medication,” she said.
She says her condition has affected her kidney and now she goes for dialysis twice a week which is very expensive for her.
“As I am speaking we have nothing to pay for the dialysis which is about Sh 120,000 per week, where can we get the funds if even affording a meal per day is hard. We kindly urge you to help us so that our child can be treated and the Almighty God will bless you,” she said.
Jane Wairimu Ngugi is suffering from cervical cancer which is currently at stage four and due to lack of funds, it’s hard for her to be treated a tube is also supposed to be inserted in her body which requires 25,000.
“We are requesting assistance through this number 0745416831. We urge you to assist me with anything thing small for my child to be treated,” she added.
Felistus Nyamae neighbor says the family has passed through a lot and is in need of funds for their children to be treated.
“Sometimes she even doesn’t have fair to go to the hospital, she has passed through a lot, Cervical cancer is very expensive, and like you she has nothing,” she said.
“Better a hand that gives than the one that receives please help her let stand with her, with the little you have and you will be blessed.
“I urge the government to remove charges for cancer patients since it’s a disease that is very expensive and it should cater for it fully.
Alice Kamburi says “This child has suffered a lot even the body has to allot of water and her health has deteriorated the little you have will help us get something,”
Dr. Emmanuel Chibichi medical officer at Racecourse Hospital Eldoret the clinician managing Jane Ngugu Wairimu said the patient is suffering from cervical cancer which has reached stage four and has caused an obstruction of the kidney.
“She has acute kidney injury where we started dialysis a few weeks ago her management has stalled for a while due to the issues funds so her treatment has not been progressing as quickly as we thought. We urge the public to come out and help her get funds for the treatment to continue,” he said.
Dan Kemei Nurse in charge says “Her management will continue because she requires dialysis at least twice per week and oncology is yet to start due to issue of finance therefore any small assistance will be accepted,”
