LAUNCH OF MOGOTIO SUB COUNTY HOSPITAL PROJECTS
Baringo County Government commits to revitalize the health services through provision of effective, efficient and sustainable health services to its residents.
Mogotio Sub County Hospital is privileged to have received several facilities and equipment which is a milestone and a great investment in healthcare.
I officially opened Mogotio sub county Hospital facilities which include a theatre supported with the following equipment: Patient Monitors, Vital signs monitor, Defibrillator and ECG machine (Electrocardiogram).
I was also honored to commission the hospital Oxygen plant which has a production capacity of 500 Litres per hour with purity of 95%. Some of its components included an air tank, an air treatment system, an oxygen generator, an oxygen tank and a filling system (manifold) together with 6 oxygen cylinders and cylinder carriers to facilitate transportation of oxygen where needed.
Sterilwave incinerator with a capacity of 50Kgs/Hr. I am pleased to note that unlike traditional incinerators, Sterilwave uses microwave technology for sterilization and disposal of medical waste. This solution thus has key benefits such as safety due to the use of Microwave technology, it is Eco-friendly since there is zero environmental impact because no smoke is produced, Efficient and cost effective as compared to traditional incinerators as well as an easy-to-use system (plug and play) with no technical qualifications required.
The hospital was also supplied with a Laundry machine which has a load capacity of 35Kgs; maximum 39Kgs while the dryer has a load of 45Kgs.
It is worth noting that the facility also received a rafale Portable X-ray machine accompanied by accessories such as X-ray films, printer, and a supporting Dell computer. Additionally, I also commissioned a portable ultrasound (sonoscanner) complete with probes and trolley to support the Maternity ward.
Other Equipment included an Autoclave for sterilization of items such as surgical tools and a Hematology analyser.
As a County Government, we appreciate our health workers for their commitment towards provision of quality healthcare to our patients as well as the National Government through the French Government for the immense support to this facility. Ahsanteni sana!
