Busia County Referral Hospital Receives Easy Drain Bed
Busia County Referral Hospital received a donation of easy drain bed and a mattress unit from easy drain care products limited.
The bed and mattress was handed over to BCRH by the Director finance and strategy Mr. Sylvester Oluoch in the presence of Busia Governor, HE Dr Paul Nyongesa Otuoma, Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA), Hon. Beatrice Akinyi Opwapo and BCRH staff.
Mr. Oluoch said that the bed has unique features and it has more benefits among them reducing Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and Catheter- associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI’s), eliminates rashes associated with use of diapers and promotes rest and better sleep quality. It also reduces caregiver workload among others .
“Busia is the fourth county to receive this bed. Other counties that have received this bed include Nyamira, Kisii and Siaya,” he candidly said.
The Governor thanked Mr. Oluoch for his kind gesture and for being a good ambassador outside the county.
“I thank you for being a good ambassador kindly allow the technical team evaluate the bed and we will give you feedback, otherwise the technology is good and let us grow our county together,”he appreciated
