Teech-gaa Women Group Condemn Raila Odinga’s Political Rallies
Teech-gaa Women Group has condemned the ongoing political rallies organized by the opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town, their chair lady Mary Tarus urged Odinga to give president William Ruto time to resuscitate the economy.
” As Teech-gaa women group we want to condemn with the strongest terms possible the political rallies that are being organized by the opposition and Azimio leader Raila Odinga, this is uncalled for and not good for our Country just a few months after the August polls,” said Tarus while speaking to the press.
“We want to tell Raila that elections are done and we are now in the mood of economic recovery we don’t want to been taken back to the electioneering period,” she added.
“Recently we heard about Chebukati saying how he was told to announce Raila as the president of Kenya without winning and also to moderate the results for a run-off to take place, Therefore he is the one who rigged the election and not president Ruto as he purports.” The Teech-gaa women group chair said.
She said the Cherera Four IEBC Commissioners who were on the urge of stealing the Augustr elections should also be held responsible.
“I am also calling upon our able governor Jonathan Bii not to allow Raila Odinga to conduct his demonstrations in our County since we are tired of politics and now we want development,” she said.
Josephine Biwot called on the county government to work together to ensure that there peace and avoid unnecessary demonstrations.
“We urge the Azimio leader to accept the election results and avoid holding rallies that could split Kenyans and cause disunity, I also ask governor Bii to ensure there is peace in the country,” said Josephine.
Teechgaa community-based organization is a group of women that consist of 30 members from the age group of 20_60 they come from different tribes in Uasin Gishu, their goal is to empower themselves to preach love, peace, and Unity and to pray for the government.
