DP Gachagua Assures Kenyans of Their Security Ahead of Raila Odinga’s Demonstration
Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has assured Kenyans of their security ahead of Raila Odinga’s demonstration.
Speaking at Kangocho Secondary Gachagua said Kenyans should feel free to go to work, operate their businesses and carry on with their normal lives.
“The Government will firmly discharge its mandate to protect lives and property by providing elaborate and adequate security for all,” said Gachagua.
He said Kenyans must dismiss and treat with contempt, calls by idle and selfish leaders to keep off work and join them in the streets.
“We cannot be intimidated by merchants of violence and blackmail who are hellbent on bringing the country to its knees as a way of getting into Government,” he added.
The second in command said President Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza Administration are focused on delivering on The Plan and will not be distracted by self-seekers.
“In the same breath, I appeal to leaders from Mt Kenya and indeed across the country to remain steadfast, firm and focused on development and protection of the economic rights of the people,” he said.
He said they should not be intimidated by those who did everything to frustrate them and unsuccessfully attempted to lock them out of leadership and development.
