Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa Launches Housing Program
Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has officially launched the Housing program.
Barasa says the program is aimed at providing better access to secure and comfortable housing for all members of our community.
“The program aims to eliminate all grass-thatched roof houses and replace them with homes that have iron sheet roofs, which will provide better protection from the elements and be more durable in the long run,” said the second-term member of parliament on a UDA party ticket.
He further said by improving the quality of housing in our community, we hope to achieve several positive outcomes.
“We aim to improve the health and well-being of our community members, as secure and comfortable housing can reduce the risk of diseases and other health concerns. Additionally, Improving housing will have economic benefits, as it can create employment opportunities and increase property values in our community,” he noted.
Barasa is a staunch supporter of President William Ruto and a big critique of the opposition leader Raila Odinga.
“Of course, implementing a housing program is a complex process that involves a range of stakeholders and challenges. We are committed to working through any obstacles that arise and ensuring that the program is affordable and accessible to all members of our community,” he said.
“We are proud to be launching this housing program and I believe it will make a significant difference in the lives of our community members. Thank you for your support and cooperation as we work to improve the quality of housing in our community.” he added
