We Will Make Rigging Elections Most Expensive - Raila Odinga

Opposition leader Raila Odinga now says he will make rigging of elections a very expensive affair for anyone to engage.

“We will not tire, to tell the truth, because we want to make rigging a very expensive enterprise that nobody will ever think again of rigging an election in this country. Without resolving this problem, there will be no peace in the Country,” said Odinga.

These were the sentiments of Azimio la Umoja Coalition leader, Raila Amollo Odinga while attending the Wiper Democratic Movement Prayer Meeting.

The leader stood firm to claim his victory in the 9th August 2022 polls that were conducted by the Independent Electoral Board Commission (IEBC).

He claimed that the Citizens of Kenya saw and know what transpired at the Bomas of Kenya during the announcement of poll results on 15th August 2022.

Odinga says the leader of IEBC then Wafula Chebukati is the biggest problem that has led to the economic recession and bad leadership in our country.

The opposition leader said that Chebukati disagreed with more than half the number of all commissioners to announce William Ruto as president elects.

He said that only three commissioners out of the seven commissioners on the board agreed to sign the result of form 34A. He said that these results should be termed as null and void therefore invalid for any electoral reasons.

“We won in Nyanza, Western, Coast, Eastern, Nairobi, and other several counties in Central Kenya. Under normal circumstances, those results should not have been accepted. Nobody should even have announced them,” he noted.

The coalition leader has also blamed the Supreme Court saying that the Judiciary was biased in their ruling about the polls. He said that instead of justice the judiciary offered insults and injustice therefore many investigations should also be conducted by the Supreme Court by the International Criminal Court.
