Governor George Natembeya has announced a groundbreaking initiative that will see 2,000 young individuals benefit from internship programs, starting this July. This visionary move aims to provide our talented youth with invaluable opportunities to serve their communities and gain practical experience.

Speaking passionately at St. Peter’s Simatwet Catholic Church in Waitaluk ward, Kiminini Sub County, Governor Natembeya emphasized the urgent need to create more avenues for our youth to flourish. He acknowledged the importance of collaboration between the private sector and the government to ensure maximum utilization of these opportunities. In response to a heartfelt request for employment intervention by Waitaluk ward MCA, Furaha Lusweti, the Governor confirmed that an additional 2,000 youth would be enrolled in the highly successful Kazi Mtaani Program.

“We have set in motion plans to hire 2,000 ambitious young individuals across various sectors of our economy, commencing this July,” declared Governor Natembeya. His resolute commitment to the youth of Trans Nzoia County shines through his words, displaying a deep understanding of their potential and the need to nurture it.

Moreover, Governor Natembeya expressed his appreciation for the collective effort of elected political leaders, especially ward representatives, in working hand-in-hand with his administration. This collaborative approach has proven instrumental in reviving stalled projects left behind by the previous administration. With the allocation of a substantial sum of Ksh 30 million in ward-specific funds, the County is poised to make significant strides towards improving the livelihoods of its residents.

In a stern message to politicians promoting divisive political agendas, the Governor made it clear that such tactics would not be tolerated in Trans Nzoia County. He underscored the importance of unity and urged all stakeholders to rally behind the youth, fostering an environment conducive to their growth and success.

This ambitious initiative, spearheaded by Governor Natembeya, showcases the County’s unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation. By providing these internships, Trans Nzoia County is investing in the potential of its youth, equipping them with the necessary skills and experience to shape a prosperous future.

Let us stand together and support our talented youth, for they are the driving force behind our County’s progress. Remember, united we stand, divided we fall! #TransNzoiaRising #EmpoweringOurYouth
