Governor Barasa Reshuffles His Executive

In a bid to enhance service delivery in his Administration, Kakamega County Governor Fernandes Barasa has made the following changes to the County Executive:

Mrs Peninah Mukabane has been moved to the Department of Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change previously held by Dr Mariam Barasa who has taken over the Lands, Housing, Urban Development and Physical Planning and docket.

Ms Faith Gitira the immediate former Chief Officer for Lands Administration, Survey and Physical Planning has taken over from Mr Patrick Butichi, who has been suspended with immediate effect, as the Chief Officer for Housing and Urban Development; while Dr Jeophita Mwajuma has been assigned extra responsibilities and will now be in charge of the Finance and Budget docket.

The Governor has also made the following changes;

Mr Joseph Lutilo the immediate former Chief Officer for E-government and Communication has relinquished the former Department to Mr Phanuel Musasia who will now be in-charge of ICT and E-government.

CPA Samson Otieno has been tasked with duties at the Economic Planning and Investment Department as the Chief Officer while his predecessor CPA David Msafiri Kulova has been moved to the Department of Lands Administration, Survey and Physical Planning in the same capacity.

The changes take effect immediately.
