The return of Blackrock Rugby Festival
The blackrock rugby festival is an annual festival that features Girls Rugby at the St. Mary’s school, Nairobi, between the 17th and 23rd of May will take place on the 10th of June 2023.
The preparations took long to prepare as this year marks the debut of the festival since 2010 when it was last featured.
The festival has attracted three teams across Nairobi that took part in the exhibition that was hosted last week.
The event is set to attract girls into playing rugby and act as a platform to discover new talent and recruit girls into the various women rugby clubs in Kenya, the Lioness’ qualification o the third tier of the new WXV rugby tournament in Madagascar late last month has increased the demand of female rugby players.
