Thoughts From Janet Mbugua on ‘Women Deliver Conference
Social Justice activist Janet Mbugua has taken a moment to share with us her thoughts on ‘Women Deliver Conference.
She noted the three sessions was a stark reminder of the gaps, the wins and the losses.
Mbugua noted that there is need to prioritize grassroots, women-lead organizations while collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, and shift from conferencing to actioning, as uncomfortable as that may be.
“I’ll share broader highlights soon about the other sessions I spoke at, but this last one on “Menstrual Health and Hygiene; Bloody Critical for Gender Equality”, had voices that captured a wide arrays of experiences and expertise and I’m so glad I got to be on it,” she said .
She thanked WASH who hosted her and other players who refuse to be silenced or discouraged.
