Sambu Central Hold Thanks Giving,Kicks Off Campaigns For Top Position
Buoyed by their emphatic performance in the last year Kenya certificate of primary Education (Kcpe)Sambu central primary school in Webuye east kicked off their campaign for the top positions with confidence to hammer historical giants in the country.
With a mean score of 356 in last year national exams, Sambu central primary has been building on the success so far achieved and improving an area of weakness to achieve the top position in the region which has a reserve few schools over the year’s competing at the top in the public schools category.
Addressing parents and stakeholders during Thanksgiving event,the school Headteacher John Temba says they have seen more positive in the candidates and are optimistic that this year’s class will pull a surprise by toping within the county has opposed to the tradition schools.
” After the fairly commendable performance we are determine to conquer giant schools not only in Bungoma county but also in schools in the neighborhood too” he posed.
Temba disclosed that hard work is the secret to his success “ one has to obey hard work, however obedient to hard work is blind at times and requires the suspension of reason for one to succeed.
He further said that they are other schools still stuck in a rot with old ways of days where teachers verbiage and endless rhetoric but for them (Sambu Central) things are totally different.
” By any measure the vision of our school will be replicated across the county” he told parents.
Mr. Temba observed that his staff has equally spent mid night oil in preparing his candidates at the top.
He said his teachers have changed tact and adopted new strategies in teaching methods as children differ in their performance at the end to improve their basic understanding of their subjects.
The colourful event was graced by Webuye east Member of Parliament Martin Wanyonyi who lauded the school for making his constituency pride.
He further promised to give education a priority in his constituency and assured the school for his support.

True to their hopes a visitor at the school which is fighting for space in the dailies after the results are announced cannot fail to be impressed by other appliance of a school which is very ambitious undertaking in the region and was navigated a porous road to prosperity key among them shortage of teachers.
