Dedan Kimathi Foundation Defying All Odds to Fight Climate Change Through Tree Growing
As we may all be aware, a fight never stops till victory is achieved. Dedan Kimathi Foundation remains steadfast in the fight against climate change. With KFS Murang’a County tree seedlings donation support, the Foundation environment conservation team conducted a tree planting activity in Kagongo Primary School in Kandara; Murang’a County.
In the event held in collaboration with Africa Youth Leaders Forum of KCA University, 300 cypress tree seedlings donated by KFS Kigumo Forest Station were planted. The trees were adopted by Grade 6 and 7 pupils for growing. Mrs. Josephine Njiru ;the school headteacher assured the team that all the trees would be watered sufficiently for survival.
Dedan Kimathi Foundation team called upon the participants to actively join the fight against climate change by growing trees and managing plastic waste properly.
