CRA hails Trans Nzoia for enhancing the objects of Devolution
The Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) wrapped up its three days tour of Trans Nzoia County to assess the impacts of devolution 10 years since inception with a courtesy call to H.E. Governor George Natembeya at his Town Hall Office Thursday afternoon.
Commission Vice Chairperson Koitamet Olekina noted that devolution had indeed yielded fruits and that citizens were happy with the devolved system of government despite a few grey areas that need to be improved on.
He singled out on ECDE learning, Health and Infrastructural development as areas that have exemplary performance and hailed H.E. the Governor for fast tracking projects that had otherwise stagnated long or dragged to completion.
H.E. Natembeya welcomed the report alluding to the findings and pledged to clean the mess he found adding that his administration had already initiated several measures to positively transform the county.
The Governor was flanked by his County Secretary Truphosa Amere, CECMs Bonfas Wanyonyi (Finance), Jackson Amboka (Roads), Janerose Mutama (Lands), Sam Ojwang (Education) and Patrick Gacheru (Environment).
