House Committee Deliberate on Enhancing Information Dissemination on Parliamentary Business
The Select Committee on Parliamentary Broadcasting and Library chaired by Hon. Daniel Nanok (Turkana West), has convened to review current trends of media coverage on Parliamentary Business. The Committee, has been engaging technical teams draw from Media Relations, ICT, Public Communications, Library and Parliamentary Broadcasting departments to deliberate on leveraging on social media and ICT to strengthen dissemination of Parliamentary business on online platforms in engaging the public on real-time basis.
The Select Committee on Parliamentary Broadcasting and Library is established by the provisions of Standing Order 212D of the National Assembly Standing Orders and is mandated to amongst others; to Consider and report on all matters relating to the broadcasting of the proceedings of the House.
The committee is working towards the realization of Strategic Pillar IV “Embrace and Implement an E-Parliament” as stipulated in the PSC Strategic Plan 2019 -2030.
