Creating Employment Through Innovation
The Government has been keen in matters job creation especially for the millions of youths who are still unemployed.
For this reason, one innovator and entrepreneur, by the name Boaz Metal Arts has taken the responsibility on his shoulders by creating employment to youths in Ruai through innovation.
In a visit to his Enterprise Thursday Morning, we witnessed first hand the spectacular artwork that Mr Boaz and his team are making.
“I owned this idea about three years ago, Cognizant of the need to take care of our environment. In that regard, I receive waste scrap metal which I use to carefully craft these beautiful masterpieces from the hitherto waste metal. At the moment I’ve about 7 staff who get their daily bread from here,” the composed Mr Boaz noted.
More importantly, Mr Boaz is inviting like minded individuals to agree to work in synergy in a bid to bridge the gap of unemployment that continues to widen by the day.
“most of the youths are desperate which is why they result to alcohol and drug abuse. But I welcome the step by the Second Lady, Her Excellency Pastor Dorcas Rigathi who has shown her commitment in rehabilitation of our youths who have been in the yoke of alcoholism. As Boaz Metal Arts we are ready to present our sustainable approach to give the reformed youths a lifeline and an avenue for them to earn a decent living,” he said.
Boaz Metal Arts is appealing to the Government and indeed all institutions to support local manufacturers so that our economy can continue to grow whilst creating employment.
He is also appealing to the government to consider promoting the local innovators instead of going for the foreign ones.
“If you look like this Coat of Arms, it’s a spectacular and fascinating artwork which can comfortably be placed in our entry points such as the Airport, the State House and State Lodges and even in the precincts of National parks and Game reserves to showcase the beauty and heritage of our beloved country Kenya,” he advised
