Wanjohi Welcomes Nationwide Deworming Program
The Treasurer of the United APBET Schools Association – Dr. Paul Wanjohi who doubles up as the Founder and Managing Director of Sharp Education Centre, has welcomed the wise thought by th Government to roll out a nationwide campaign for deworming all school going children.
Most importantly, Dr Wanjohi also implored on the Government to also remember the APBET schools in the exercise.
The idea to deworm all pupils was brought to the House by Kiambu Town Member of Parliament Machua Waithaka stating:
“The 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 is of paramount importance.
Earlier Wednesday, Parliament approved the motion urging the National Government, through the Ministry of Health, to develop a national policy on deworming school-going children as a crucial part of mainstreaming of healthcare access in the Country.”
The Dr. Wanjohi also noted the importance of inclusion of APBET Schools especially in matters of Capitation so that the children there in can have a competitive advantage just like their well up colleagues in high end learning institutions.
