Senator Lomenen Request For a Statement on the Status of Construction of Lodwar Law Court Building in Turkana County
Turkana County Senator James Lomenen has today sought a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing on the status of construction of the Lodwar Court Building in Turkana County.
While requesting the Statement on the Floor of his home county assembly in the ongoing Senate Mashinani, Senator Lomenen has asked the Senator Karungo Thang’wa’s Committee to state the reasons for the prolonged delay in completing the project and the expected timeline for completion.
“The Committee should indicate the financial or logistical challenges faced, if any, that has contributed to the project’s stagnation. They should also highlight the strategies put in place to address the challenges and expedite the project’s completion,” Senator Lomenen said.
He further asked the Senate Housing Committee to state the actions the Government has taken to enhance effective operation of the Judiciary and ensure the residents of Turkana County have access to justice in a timely and efficient manner.
The Speaker subsequently ordered that the matter be committed to the Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing which will investigate the matter and then report it’s findings to the House.
