Let there be Teso County
Member of Parliament for Teso South the Honourable Mary Otucho Emaase has rallied an ambitious plan for the creation of Teso County to be hived off from the enormous Busia County.
The Hon MP notes “Successful submission of our proposal for the creation of TESO COUNTY to the National Dialogue Committee at the Bomas of Kenya.
A submission, to quench a growing need for effective governance and equitable distribution of resources. A submission to ensure better planning, efficient service delivery, and promote grassroots development across the country.
We are confident that the proposal we presented reflected the diverse voices of the Teso community and by extension aspirations of Kenyan citizens. It’s a solid foundation to a more inclusive and responsive governance system. TESO COUNTY!!”
