Kenya Launches It’s 7th Edition of the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition

Kenya has officially launched its 7th edition of the Agro-Food Pack Exhibition at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi.

The three-day expo is co-organized by MXM Exhibitors – a Dubai-based event firm and Kenya National Chambers of Commerce & Industry-Kajiado chapter and is set for October 27th to 29th.

Mudasir Mohammed, MXM, Expo organizer Pakistan Embassy in Kenya Trade Envoy,said the exhibition has attracted exhibitors from 11 to 12 countries and more visitors are expected not only from Kenya, but also from the surrounding.

“The showcase has attracted over 1,500 exhibitors drawn from Algeria, China, Egypt, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE”,He Said.

Japheth Ogutu-The Chief Executive Officer Kenya National Chambers of Commerce & Industry-Kajiado Said, The Agro-Food Pack Exhibition will organize a number of these sessions to be able to give its members a platform to network and be able to demonstrate their potential and the ability to do business together as a Chamber of Commerce.

“We are open to exploring further collaborations and discussion to be able to strengthen this collaboration and take it forward. This is the first time that we are collaborating with yourself. But moving forward, we are going to ensure that all our members will be able to participate and to showcase Kajiado as a preferred business destination,”Said Ogutu.

Ogutu revealed Kajiado has an industrial park launched recently by National and County Government to accommodate investors.

“You have the opportunity to invest in Kajiado, collaborate and partner with the chamber of commerce because we have an open door policy that will enable you to work with us and also to facilitate business within the county”,He said.

According to Chairman KNCCI Kajiado Joseph Ntele,They are in the process of establishing specific economic zones that they can get investors ready to invest and in that dimension they will be able defined the agriculture sector in the country.

“The biggest resource Kajiado has is land with the rich nutrients and fertile,for the last three years the county has been number one produce of tomato in Kenya and also the biggest producer of Red meet,”Said KNCCI Chairman.

The AgroFoodpack Exhibition covers segments Agro, Dairy and Poultry, Grains and Storage, Food and Flavors, Biscuits, Cakes, Packaging and Processing Machines, and Plastics.
