First Cohort of Legislators Commence Training Program at the Kenya Democracy Academy
The first cohort of legislators today began undergoing an in-depth training and capacity-building program initiated by the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD).
Lawmakers drawn from The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA) and the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA), are the first beneficiaries of the one of a kind leadership and training program.
The institute, a global organization dedicated to enhancing inclusive political systems, recently unveiled the Kenya Democracy Academy, the country’s first democracy school.
During the sessions , the Members of Parliament underwent a comprehensive program aimed at equipping them to be influential leaders and effective change agents within and and outside parliament for the benefit of their constituents.
This transformative 6-month program seeks to empower MPs, enhance their capacity, and bolster their effectiveness in carrying out their duties.
