Uasin Gishu Feted With County and Town Excellent Awards

Uasin Gishu County has received the County and Town Excellence Award.

According to Governor Jonathan Bii this serves as a true testament to remarkable progress in the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.

“It also recognizes our proficient management of Eldoret Municipality, setting the stage for our planned elevation to city status,” said Governor Bii.

Additionally, Eldoret Municipality received another excellence award, recognizing exemplary achievements in providing ample road infrastructure, establishing an effective emergency response system, offering quality healthcare facilities, and hosting one of the nation’s largest airports, Eldoret International Airport.

“ These accolades truly reflect our status as champions. These awards were presented during the 2023 Town and County Planning Development Conference held in Eldoret, and they represent our dedicated efforts to accelerate economic growth,” he added.
