Why Kirinyaga County Speaker is Superb
The speaker of Kirinyaga County assembly Hon Muteti Murimi is superb.
“Yesterday, I was honoured to host H.E. The Governor Anne Waiguru at the County Assembly where she delivered the Annual State of the County Address.
The address was delivered in fulfillment of Section 30(2) K of the County Governments Act . In Her Address, The Governor highlighted the progress we have made as a county in various sectors which includes; agriculture, health, education, trade, transport , water and environment, and finance and economic planning.
The address will be tabled in the house for debate in line with the relevant standing orders of the County Assembly.
I expressed my appreciation to the Governor for taking time to deliver the address and for the continued collaboration between the two levels of government which has seen the county grow exponentially over last one year.
Later , I witnessed the signing into law of the Kirinyaga County Finance Bill 2023. The law provides a framework for revenue collection to enable the county to advance in its development agenda at the grassroot level.”
