Statement by Kesses Member of Parliament Julius Ruto on Kapchurman, Kamagut Ward Killings
I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred in Kapchurman, Kamagut Ward, where five residents lost their lives following a confrontation with soldiers at the Kamagut RTS. I condemn this incident in the strongest possible terms.
This animosity between the residents and the soldiers has been ongoing for too long, and it must come to an end. I will be seeking answers on the floor of the House to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy and ensure that it never happens again.
I joined the residents of Kapchurman to offer my condolences and support during this difficult time. I also delivered messages of condolence from other county leaders who are unable to be here in person.
To the affected families, I offer my deepest sympathies and prayers. May God grant you strength and courage to bear the losses of your loved ones.
I urge everyone in our community to remain calm and avoid any further violence. We must work together to resolve this conflict peacefully.
Sincerely,
Julius Ruto
Member of Parliament, Kesses
