Eldoret Court has denied bond for two suspects in the murder case of Taxi operator John Muiruri whose body was found in a tea plantation in Chepsonoi, Nandi County on October 14 this year.

Eldoret Principal Magistrate Mogire Onkoba said the suspects were denied bond due to various reasons including that one suspect was planning to travel to Canada.

“For now I will put on hold the issuance of bond or bail and direct the matter to be mentioned on 18th of December before the trial court number,” said the Eldoret principal Magistrate.

Francis Muya Mwangi MCA Langas Ward who was in court in solidarity with the family of the deceased called for justice for the deceased John Muiruri Ndungu.
“Today we are happy with the court ruling by denying the suspect bond, we want justice for the family of the deceased and we will not get tired coming to court,” said the Langas Ward MCA.

Grace Muiruri wife to the deceased “I thank God that the case has started and I am confident I will get justice despite living as a widow with children. The deceased fed me as a housewife, it’s a big gap that I don’t know if it will ever be filled,” she said.
