The Hon speaker for Kirinyaga County Assembly The Hon Mr. Speaker Sir Muteti Murimi is receiving bounties of God’s immeasurable blessings because of his selflessness in service to the great people of Kirinyaga.
“Today, accompanied by members of the Committee on Medical Services, Public Health and Sanitation, We witnessed H.E the Governor Anne Waiguru sign into law The Kirinyaga County Health Facilities Improvement Fund Bill, 2023.
The bill provides a framework for the establishment of the County Health Facilities Improvement Fund in order to secure sustainable funding for promotive and preventive health care services, and sustainable funding for the day-to-day operations of the health care facilities.
The Fund shall be used to ring-fence health resources to guarantee efficient and effective service delivery.
The law further establishes a Board that will provide oversight over management of the Fund, mobile resources and monitor the utilization of the Fund.
