ETTI Holds its 9th Graduation Ceremony
Eldoret Technical Training Institute (ETTI) held its 9th graduation ceremony
Speaking during the graduation ceremony the institute’s Dr. Boss Albert congratulated the graduates for reaching an important milestone in their lives.
Over 1500 graduands were conferred with Certificates and Diplomas in different disciplines.
“I am privileged and heartened to celebrate this special occasion with you as you graduate and join your preceding cohorts to make a difference in the community in your unique ways,” said Dr Boss.
He said graduands experience at ETTI has been one of self-discovery, transformation and achievement.
“Whether it was time spent amongst friends and who guided you through’ projects and internships, I have faith that classmates who cheered you on, or lecturers and industry mentors these are memories which you will cherish for a lifetime,” he said.
He noted that it’s now their time to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on society through the skills and knowledge they have honed at ETTI.
“You have learned. Important problem-solving life skills such as critical thinking, resilience, self-awareness, and communication will serve you well in your future endeavors. Your journey with ETTI will stay with you and shape the path you take in life,” he said.
“As you complete this phase of your college journey I would encourage you to take some time to reflect on your passion and consider your goals in life experienced,” he added.
Students were also given avocado seedling which will remind them of the day they graduated and what they have achieved in the next four years.
Deputy Principal Kiplagat Hosea congratulated graduates for their hard work and determination that has led to the success achieved so far.
“To all graduates congratulations for a job well done and wish you all the best in your endeavors,” he said.
Dean of Studies Mr.Casper Shiyeyi says “Congratulations on completing your Programs! Graduation is a time to share your success not only with fellow students but also with family and friends who have supported you on your academic journey. Not only did you finish the requirements for your certificate/diploma but it was done during unprecedented circumstances. Please know that we are extremely proud of all that you have accomplished,”
Professor Ahmed Ferej Educationist applauded ETTI for equipping graduates with knowledge and skills to face the world saying it’s a major achievement for having over 13000 students.
“I want to applaud ETTI management for coming up with courses that are market-oriented and being among the best TVET institutions. To graduate I urge you to use this institution as a stepping stone to continue with your education,” he said.
Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Dr Edyson Nyale who was the chief guest urged graduands to be job creators and not seekers.
“First of all I want to congratulate you graduates for achieving this milestone my advice to you is that use the skills you have learned to be job creators and not seekers as it has become the norm.
