ETTI Teachers’’ training college was established in the year 2014 with a aim of providing and advancing a holistic education which develop men and women to be earnest seekers of truth and equips them with appropriate knowledge, skill, attitudes and values to service to god and humanity. ETTI TTC was accredited by the ministry of education science and technology (MOEST) in the year 2014.
ETTI TTC is located adjacent to UASIN GISHU high school which is 100M from Uganda road. Since its inception, the institute has grown from a population of 60 to a current population of over 756 students and 25 teachers who are qualified and certified by teachers service commission (TSC).

DIPLOMA TEACHER EDUCATION (DTE)
Certificate in diploma teacher education is a three year pre-service programme equivalent to nine terms. .Class work is done in the first eight terms and thereafter practical teaching practice on the last term of their course.
Internal Examinations are done during the course prior to External Examination from Kenya national examinational council [KNEC].
A candidate must take two teaching subjects [areas of specialization], Education units and physical health education [PHE].
Course Requirements
C+ mean grade
C+ in subject specialization
C plain in mathematics for those taking sciences
D+ In mathematics for those taking humanities
C plain n English for all the applicants
Practical teaching practice will be taken in one phase, last term of their course.

Examination Body
The course is externally examined by Kenya national examination council (KNEC) .the theory in the month of March and practical examination in the month of May to July

Primary Teacher Education(PTE)
The course takes two academic years.
In the final examination a student will be required to sit for nine subjects including teaching practice.
Practical teaching practice will be taken in three phases .One in the first year and the two on second year
Course Requirements
To be eligible for primary teacher education certificate courses candidates must have scored a minimum grade of C plain in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education [KCSE] or its equivalent.
One must have also attained a D plain in mathematics and a C- in English.

Examination Body
The course is externally examined by Kenya national examination council (KNEC) .The theory in the month of July and practical examination in the month of June during their final term.

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION (ECDE)
The ECDE courses are offered in both in-service and pre- service as follows
Diploma in early childhood development education (ECDE) –the course two years (6 terms) in-service or three years (9 terms) pre service programme. Practical teaching practice will be taken in one phase, last term of their course.
Certificate in early childhood development (ECDE)- the course one years(4terms) in-service or two years(6 terms) pre service Practical teaching practice will be taken in one phase, last term of their course.
Proficiency certificate in ECDE- the course two terms in-service or three terms pre- service programme.

Course Requirements
Diploma in early childhood development education (ECDE) – the entry requirements for diploma in ECDE is a C (plain) in KCSE or having successfully passed in ECDE certificate.
Certificate in early childhood development (ECDE)-the entry requirements for certificate should be C-(minus) or D+ (plus) in KCSE or successfully completed a certificate in proficiency course.
Proficiency certificate in ECDE- the entry requirements for the course is D (plain) and below or having successfully passed KCPE.

Examination Body
The course is externally examined by Kenya national examination council (KNEC) .The theory in the month of April during their final term.
