Good news for motorists and residents of Tongaren sub-county! The county government of Bungoma has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Naitiri Sugar Company, paving the way for much-needed periodic maintenance of local roads.

This partnership promises a significant upgrade and rehabilitation for key wards such as Mbakalo, Milima, Naitiri, Tongaren, Ndali, Mitua Soysambu, and the crucial Ndivisi Bridge – Naitiri Market road. The MOU brings a cost-effective solution to ensuring all-weather accessibility, particularly during the rainy season.

The signing ceremony, held over the weekend, saw honorable members of the County Assembly from Tongaren join forces with the roads and public works department, led by the CECM Bonventure Chengek, and the Naitiri Sugar team headed by the General Manager N.V Venkatappa .

This collaborative effort marks a promising step towards improved infrastructure and connectivity for the Tongaren community.
