NEMA DG Pays Courtesy Call to Governor Sakaja
NEMA Director General, Mamo B. Mamo, EBS today paid courtesy call to Governor- Nairobi City County, H.E Johnson A. Sakaja.
Amongst the issues discussed were collaboration or creating synergies in waste management, banned plastic bags enforcement, Nairobi river cleanup, adoption or gazettement of the County Executive Committee (CECs), zonation ordinances of the City and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as well as other other initiatives towards achievement of BETA.
Also at the meeting were CECs; Maureen Njeri-Business and Hustler opportunities; S G Mwangi- Built Environment and Urban Planning; Ibrahim Nyangoya- Green Nairobi and Hibrahim Otieno- Chief Officer Environment. NEMA Nairobi County Director of Environment-Catherine Thaithi and Jimmy Owiti were also present.
