Omogusii call on community leadership in Nairobi county
Members of Omugusii communities domiciled in Nairobi county from 17 constituencies on Tuesday 27 gathered to discuss matters concerning the afect of community in the city.
They claimed the unity and agenda of Omugusii in Nairobi which have been hijacked by political brokers conmen and masqueraders who are self-driven and mortgaging the agenda that charactrized the community.
The community raised a burning issues concerning the appointment of current Nairobi City county Chief officer in charge of health, One Geoffrey Mosiaria as Omugusii spokesperson which they said was roughable.
Appointment of Mosiaria shows political interest to perennial political brokers who recently moved from Kisii county recently from last general election. They said the brokers wanted to catch the eye of the Governor.
Omogusii stated that the community has the right to choose and appoints the spokesperson but not individuals.
Nairobi city county has had and had Abagusii senior public servant before Mosiaria urging him to serve H.E Jonhstone Sakaja and leave the community leadership.
According to Omogusii Mosiaria is purporting to rally the community together towards a political inclination which is fafertched. Misplace of law that doesn’t allow public servants from engaging in politics.
They said if he wanted to rule the community he should resign and tap into politics.
They call upon Kisii county senator Richard Onyonka as a senior leader from the community to stop meddling in the affairs of Omogusii in Nairobi.
They urged him to oversee Kisii county which has bigger problems than Nairobi.
Omogusii said that they have sorely benefited under leadership of Hon. Rt Raila Odinga
