Moiben Member of Parliament, Prof Phylis Bartoo, recently underscored the significance of passion and diversification in farming during a courtesy call to the Musama family. Impressed by the family’s diversified crop portfolio, particularly their specialization in Hass avocados through Kiptash Organic Farm, Prof Bartoo emphasized the potential for success in agriculture.

“Our farmers are smiling all the way to the bank,” remarked Prof Bartoo, highlighting the financial rewards of agricultural entrepreneurship.

Encouraging other farmers, especially Moiben’s youth, to explore diverse agricultural ventures, Prof Bartoo expressed her commitment to facilitating market access. She pledged to collaborate with the Ministry of Trade and other stakeholders to ensure ready markets, particularly in the diaspora market.

“My goal is to liaise with the ministry of trade and other stakeholders to ensure that there is a ready market, especially in the diaspora market,” Prof Bartoo stated.
