LESSONS FROM MY WARDROBE
I honestly don’t know how you decide on what to wear on a day-to-day basis.
Oftentimes, I have been asked, “Who dresses you?”
The truth is, I dress myself.
It’s never easy, but I always start by laying the foundation.
My foundation is in color and whether it will be a dress,pair of trousers, or a skirt.
From this, I then build the complete outfit, including accessories, shoes, and type of hairdo.
So today I thought, wait a minute, this reflects how we should live our lives.
Get your foundation right, especially values and principles, and build on your other everything. And what is everything?
Your business,
Your family,
Your career,
Your church, etc.
This way, you will avoid too much contradiction in your life. You will clearly see what is fitting in and what is not.
Back to my dressing story.
There are days I get it all wrong, or it takes me longer to fix the outfit, but when I look back, I realize that the foundation was off, like trousers with an outdated cut, funny patterns etc.
And honestly there are days , after I lost time, I have started all over again, reason being, the foundation was wrong!
And guess what , oftentimes it’s better that way than doing “patchwork”, I have learned!
