In a spirited display of solidarity, bodaboda operators in Eldoret Town took to the streets on Tuesday to urge President William Ruto to reappoint former Cabinet Secretaries Aden Duale, Kithure Kindiki, and Kipchumba Murkomen to key government positions.

The demonstration, which saw hundreds of bodaboda riders donning t-shirts emblazoned with the names of the former ministers, was marked by chants and banners calling for the return of the trio to the Cabinet. Organizers of the protest highlighted the significant contributions of Duale, Kindiki, and Murkomen during their previous tenures, emphasizing their roles in advancing development agendas and advocating for the interests of the Rift Valley region.

“Their leadership brought about positive change and development in the region. We believe their reappointment would greatly benefit Eldoret and the entire Rift Valley,” said James Kiplagat, a spokesperson for the bodaboda operators.

The protestors argued that Duale, Kindiki, and Murkomen possess the experience and commitment needed to drive the government’s agenda forward effectively.

As the demonstration concluded, the participants handed over a petition to the local county commissioner, requesting that their appeal be forwarded to the President.
