MCA’s Clarion Call to the Gen Z: Please Cease the Demos
A section of Members of County Assembly (MCA’s) drawn from various parts of the country in a press conference on Monday appealed to the Gen Z to cease the called for demos on Tuesday, and instead give dialogue a chance and also exhaust the Constituoonally granted avenues for redress.
Led by Nairobi Minority leader Anthony Kiragu, the leaders opined that the demos have mutated to criminality, leading looting, loss of lives and property destroyed.
“We are calling upon the youths to cease the called proresrs, since His Excellency the President has on many occasions heeded to their call, firstly by declining to sign the finance bill, dismissing the Cabinet, and calling for austerity measures across all levels of Government,”
” It will be remembered that he also recently appointed a Gen Z Eric Muriithi to the Cabinet as Water CS.
We had seen that the President engaged the youths to be considerate, we are listening and we shall work with you. We’ve heard you.”
