Governor Sakaja accompanies President Ruto During the Launch of the Nairobi River Regeneration Project

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja earlier today joined President William Ruto at the launch of the Nairobi River Regeneration Project in Korogocho, Nairobi.

The Nairobi River Regeneration Project is a major step in the right direction for solving more environmental issues and restoring the city’s waterways.

While acknowledging the program’s beneficial effects, Governor Sakaja gave residents of the city confidence that it will continue to be successful and provide young people with job opportunities.

Young men and women will participate in vital environmental and infrastructure projects in their communities as part of this program. By incorporating young people in the construction of bridges, green space development, infrastructure improvement, and tree planting.

Over 200,000 jobs for young people will be made available by Climate WorX, with 20,000 of those positions being available in Nairobi alone.

The Nairobi River in Nairobi County will be the starting point of the CRSP’s first phase. The phase will concentrate on stringent environmental enforcement and will be overseen by the Nairobi River Commission.
