KEWOTA CEO Celebrates Teachers on World Teachers Day
World Teachers Day, observed annually on October 5th, is a moment to recognize the vital role educators play in shaping the future. This year, Benter Opande, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Women Teachers (KEWOTA), extended heartfelt wishes to teachers, acknowledging their dedication and impact on society.
“Today, we honor teachers for their immense sacrifices and contributions to making the world a better place,” said Opande. “As one scholar noted, ‘every great mind was once taught by some brilliant teachers.’”
Opande emphasized that teaching is not just a profession; it is a passion and a labor of love. “Teachers nurture potential in learners, often overcoming significant challenges,” she added.
On behalf of KEWOTA, Opande expressed gratitude to all educators, urging communities to celebrate their hard work and commitment.
