Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal Praises Government Support in Education
Eldoret National Polytechnic’s Chief Principal, Dr. Charles Koech, commended the government for its ongoing support in the education sector during the launch of the 13th Annual International Research Conference.
Dr. Koech highlighted the significant impact of government assistance on the employability of polytechnic trainees. He urged continued investment to bridge existing gaps in education and workforce readiness. “I would like to thank the government for its continued support, particularly in the employment of our trainees,” he stated.
Despite his praise, Koech called for increased funding for infrastructure development at educational institutions, emphasizing that such investment is crucial for future growth. “Investment in infrastructure is investment in the future,” he asserted.
He also encouraged researchers to focus on initiatives that promote sustainable development. Koech noted that Eldoret National Polytechnic is committed to conducting research that benefits local communities. “We are interested in addressing societal challenges and promoting environmental sustainability. I encourage all stakeholders to collaborate with us in innovations and research,” he said.
Through these efforts, Koech believes the institution can empower youth while contributing to the nation’s sustainable development goals.
