Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii announced significant advancements in the transformation of the Chebororwa Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) during this year’s Annual Farmers Field Day. The event, aimed at empowering local farmers, showcased hands-on training sessions in horticulture, oil crops, and animal husbandry.
“By equipping our farmers with practical skills and insights, we are paving the way for their success in an evolving agricultural landscape,” Governor Bii stated. He emphasized the county’s abundant agricultural potential and favorable climate, underscoring the importance of diversifying efforts to boost productivity and tap into both local and international markets.
The event also featured the Deputy Governor nominee, Hon. Evans Kapkea, who expressed support for initiatives that enhance agricultural practices. Together, they aim to strengthen the community’s agricultural framework and ensure sustainable growth for Uasin Gishu farmers.
“This is just the beginning of our commitment to transforming agriculture in our county,” Governor Bii concluded, encouraging all farmers to embrace the knowledge shared at the training centre.
