In a significant move to enhance cultural and educational collaboration, Transnzoia County has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kibabii University. The partnership aims to strengthen ties between the two institutions and promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.

A highlight of this agreement is the creation of the Ken Walibora Corner at the Kitale Museum, designed to celebrate local languages and preserve cultural traditions. This dedicated space will serve as a resource for the community, allowing residents and visitors to engage with the area’s diverse history.

The MoU also outlines plans for collaborative research projects, capacity building initiatives, and cultural events, fostering a deeper appreciation of Transnzoia’s heritage while expanding educational opportunities for its residents.

Transnzoia Governor George Natembeya expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration represents a crucial step towards preserving our rich culture and ensuring our people have access to quality educational resources. We invite all stakeholders to join us in celebrating our diversity and heritage.”

As the county moves forward with these initiatives, the collaboration with Kibabii University is expected to have a lasting impact on both cultural preservation and educational advancement in the region.
