UDA and NRM Leaders Strengthen Ties in Kampala Meeting

In a significant meeting held in Kampala, UDA Party Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan engaged with Rt. Hon. Richard Awany Todwong, Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the two parties through exchange programs aimed at bolstering political parties across East Africa and the broader African continent.

Both leaders underscored the critical role of Pan-Africanism and unity in shaping the future of Africa. They expressed optimism about fostering deeper ties between UDA and NRM, emphasizing collaboration as a means to address common challenges.

The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Hon. Joash Maangi, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda, as well as UDA East African Legislative Assembly Members Hon. Falhada Iman, Hon. Zipporah Kering, and Hon. David Sankok. NRM Deputy Secretary General Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko, UDA Director of Elections Mr. Brian Higgins Mbugua, and Legal Manager Ms. Annette Chepngetich were also present, contributing to the robust dialogue.

The discussions reflect a growing commitment to strengthening political alliances and promoting a unified approach to governance in the region.
