President Ruto Calls for Positivity Amidst Challenges in Kenya
President William Ruto urged Kenyans to embrace positivity and recognize the transformative changes his administration is implementing.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony for 574 Kenya Forest Service cadets at the Forest Law Enforcement Academy, Ruto emphasized the need to shift away from negativity and focus on constructive developments.
“It is time for all of us, as the people of Kenya, to believe in this great country God has given us. We must stop the negativity,” Ruto stated. He encouraged citizens to concentrate on positive issues that can elevate the nation and contribute to its progress.
Ruto praised the Kenya Forest Service for its revenue-generating initiatives and highlighted significant accomplishments in combating illegal logging and forest crimes. “The transformations achieved in the last two years are crucial for protecting our environment,” he added.
The event was also attended by Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Forestry, Aden Duale, who announced ambitious plans to increase Kenya’s forest cover from 12.7% to 32% by 2032, showcasing the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The call for unity comes amid political turmoil, as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recently faced impeachment and has since requested prayers from Kenyans. Ruto’s remarks serve as a reminder of the importance of resilience and collective effort in overcoming the nation’s challenges.
