“Graduates, you are the future of our nation. The skills and knowledge you have acquired here are your tools to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Embrace entrepreneurship, adapt, and seize the opportunities that await you,” Prof. Munene said.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor also highlighted Zetech University’s commitment to aligning academic programs with market needs, a critical factor in ensuring the employability of graduates. “The reason we introduce new programs is because they respond directly to market demand,” Prof. Munene explained. “We continually engage with industry stakeholders to ensure our graduates have the relevant skills that the job market is looking for.”
As part of its efforts to meet the evolving needs of the workforce, Zetech University has launched 30 new skill-based programs, including nursing, computer science, and other emerging fields. These programs are designed to equip students with practical, in-demand skills that are aligned with current industry trends.
“We are introducing programs that address gaps in the market. These are fields that are not only relevant today but will continue to be in high demand in the future,” said Prof. Munene. The launch of these new programs reflects the university’s proactive approach to preparing students for successful careers and ensuring they can compete in a global job market.
The graduation ceremony was attended by faculty, parents, and distinguished guests, all celebrating the academic achievements of the graduates, who completed their studies in fields ranging from business and engineering to healthcare and information technology.
As the ceremony concluded, Prof. Munene urged the graduates to leverage the skills and knowledge gained during their time at Zetech University to drive innovation, create opportunities, and help address the country’s pressing employment challenges.
