Moi’s Bridge Ward MCA Bishop Patrick Kimeli has urged the church in Kenya to be very careful about decisions they make on the issue of freedom of worship.

Bishop Kimeli of Redemption House Mission says the decision made now will affect the church in Kenya forever.

“Any wrong move will curtail the hard-earned freedom of worship. Church leaders have been given a rope to tie their necks themselves. Uphold the freedom of worship,” said the Moisbridge Ward MCA.

He noted that It doesn’t mean freedom of worship belongs to Christians alone, but freedom of worship allows those who worship their perceived gods,

“Others worship in mountains or face mountains, others worship the sun, .you can’t tell them to have a diploma to worship their sun god. We must differentiate between a criminal and preachers. Security cuts a cross, that’s why we have our security apparatus,” he added.

The Chairman Labour Committee in the Uasin Gishu County Assembly further said that when terrorists attack Kenya using their faith, the Country never changed laws to the detriment of our Muslim community, we dealt with terrorists as terrorists and nothing more.

” Kenya church should be very careful. Let’s not work and make decisions out of fear, or thinking if other churches are closed, your church will benefit, or start faith competitions that such and such church is more organized and needs to operate, that others are fake and yours more godly. Decide if you will keep freedom of worship or curtail it,” Bishop Kimeli noted.
